Assessment Deadlines

What are the icons in the table header for?

If you have a query about a coursework deadline or place of submission, please contact your School office. Contact details for all the Schools can be found at Schools Help and Support.

If you have a query about an examination time or venue, please contact the Exams and Assessments team at spa-assessment@sussex.ac.uk

This table displays all the deadlines for formally assessed work that you must submit in the current academic year, listed in chronological order.

The information shown here will be refreshed daily, so may not show any changes made today. You should check this information regularly to ensure that the information is up to date.

Rows representing course work have the normal white or pale grey background colour, rows representing formal submissions are coloured  pale blue , and rows representing exams are coloured  pale red .

Code refers to your course code. You will need this for coversheets for work that you submit.

Type shows whether the assessment is coursework, a formal submission (for example an extended essay, term paper, or dissertation), or a centrally timetabled examination.

Mode means 'Mode of Assessment', that is, the kind of assessment you must submit.

Date is the deadline for submitted work or the start time of your examination. If TBA is displayed, the assessment has not yet been scheduled. Check the external link to 'Examinations' for more information.

Place means where to submit work or the location of your examination. This column will be blank for coursework, so check with your course tutor or departmental office for details.

For examinations - the main location of the examination is shown. If you have special arrangements to take an examination outside the main examination room, the Exams and Assessments team will write to you with details of the location. Unless otherwise advised, the start time of your examination will be the same as shown here.
