What are the icons in the table header for?

For queries regarding your University email address, please contact IT Services.

This table allows you to view and edit other personal contact details. You do not have to complete the information.

Mobile Phone:	The University will use your mobile phone number only in the case of an emergency. However, teaching staff can opt to receive text messages from IT Services. These messages inform teaching staff when the IT systems that are essential for teaching are disrupted. You will only receive a text message if you have a tick indicating that you are happy to receive SMS text messages from the University.

Personal Email:	The University might use your personal email to contact you during holidays. Please check your personal email, if possible, during these periods.

Personal Web Page:	If you have a personal web page, you can enter the URL here. Please use the full URL, for example http://www.mysite.co.uk

Link text for URL	If you have a personal web page, you can enter the text to use when Sussex Direct displays a link to your web site.

Rest assured that the personal data held in Sussex Direct is maintained as sensitive personal data in line with the Data Protection Act 1998 and in accordance with the University's code of practice on handling personal information. You can see your own personal data. The only other people who will see that data are authorised people, such as staff in Human Resources, who need access for routine purposes or in an emergency.
