Cpt Project Info

What are the icons in the table header for?

View the 'How do I...?' document.

Use this table to enter or edit details of your project proposal.

Project Title
Enter the full title of the project exactly as given in the proposal being submitted to the sponsor.

Joint Proposal
'Joint' means that funding is being sought by the University together with other institutions /organisations where all are partners on a collaborative project. It is not a joint proposal if the University's partners will be its subcontractors. If a joint proposal is being submitted with other organisations, the information to be entered on the PCPT should be the information relating to the University only and any sub-contractors.

Sussex Lead Partner
The University is the lead partner if its principal investigator will be the overall project coordinator /manager. The University will also be the lead partner if it will be the prime contractor with the sponsor or if the funding for its partners will be made available to them through the University.

Start & End Dates
'Start Date' refers to the beginning of the month. 'End Date' refers to the end of the month. So, a year-long project starting at the beginning of October should be entered with a start date of October and an end date of September.
These project dates are the dates of the period of support (i.e. the grant or contract dates) by a sponsor of a project. Where there is only one sponsor, these dates will be the same as the start and end dates associated with the sponsor on the 'Sponsor List' table. Where there is more than one sponsor, although it is usually the case that the same start and end dates will apply to each sponsor's involvement in a project, this may not always be the case. The dates on the 'Sponsor List' table will default from the dates you enter here. They may be overridden on the 'Sponsor List' table where for multi-sponsor projects the dates of some sponsors' support of a project cover a shorter period. No sponsor under the 'Sponsor List' table may have a start date earlier than this start date or an end date later than this end date.

Programme
Enter the full, official name of any specific programme under which the proposal is being submitted. If the proposal is being submitted to a particular directorate or other administrative unit of a sponsor, this is not of itself classified as a programme.

Notes/Outline
If you wish, you may provide a project outline or explain particular or unusual aspects of the project that you would like to draw attention to.
