Graduation

What are the icons in the table header for?

If your name or qualification is incorrect you must contact the Graduation Office immediately, using the email link in the table.

Use this table to

  • let us know whether you wish to attend your Graduation ceremony
  • let us know how you would like to collect your certificate.
    NOTE: if you attend the Graduation ceremony you will collect your certificate on the day
  • let us know if you or your guests have any special requirements
  • pay for your Graduation ceremony tickets
  • order extra tickets after the hotline date

Check that the information highlighted at the top of the table is correct. If necessary, use the email link to notify the Graduation Office of errors.

Select one of the options in the Attending the ceremony section. If you select the first option, please use the Special seating requirements text area to tell us if you or your guests have any special requirements, such as a medical condition or mobility problem, which will require us to make special arrangements. N.B. Please indicate whether the special requirement applies to you or your guest(s) and clearly indicate the nature of the requirement.

If you select the first option and click 'Save' in the table header, a Buy Tickets button appears. Clicking this allows you to enter information about the tickets you wish to purchase. Once you have done so, click on the Buy button in the table header to go to the online payment system.

The Graduation Office set an initial limit on the number of tickets you may purchase. This number will be indicated on the Number of tickets drop-down list. They also set a hotline date, indicated in the Extra tickets may be purchased after section, after which you will be able to purchase up to ten extra tickets on a 'first come first served' basis. If you require more than ten, use the 'Graduation Office' email link in the table.

After the Final booking date indicated in the table, you will be able to use the table only for viewing the information you have entered. NOTE: For any changes to your graduation requirements after the Final booking date you will need to contact the Graduation office.

Email confirmation
You will receive email confirmation of your intention to graduate either in person or in absentia. You will also receive email confirmation of your payment for guest tickets.

Refund Policy
You will be eligible for a refund for tickets purchased if the request for refund is received by the date from which extra tickets may be purchased (indicated on the Sussex Direct Graduation system as 'Extra tickets may be purchased after:' After this date all guest tickets are non refundable (except if a student becomes ineligible due to non-completion of programme for any reason).
