Mec Assmts

What are the icons in the table header for?

This table will list all the assessments where the Date Due is between the two dates that you've selected in your claim.  You will be able to claim for any assessment between these two dates.

If you have a 'non-submission' recorded under 'Circumstance', this may be because the due date has passed but you have not submitted. If you want to claim for a late submission, you should normally submit your assessment first and wait until the assessment status changes to 'Late' before making your claim.

Once you have made your selection, click on 'Save' to commit your changes.

Late submission Original deadline has been missed but work still submitted by final submission opportunity. Lateness penalty removed. Mark cannot be altered further.
Absence Student unable to attend in-person assessment or formal examination. Mark cannot be allocated for absence. Exam Board may grant a sit rather than a resit opportunity. However, Exam Board has the power to accept that sufficient marks have already been obtained for this specific course without the need for a sit. This will not apply to mandatory elements of a course/programme.
Non-submission Student unable to submit work prior to final submission opportunity. Exam Board may grant a sit rather than a resit opportunity. However, Exam Board has the power to accept that sufficient marks have already been obtained for this specific course without the need for a sit. This will not apply to mandatory elements of a course/programme.
Impairment Student has submitted work by original deadline, or attended exam or test, but sudden and serious circumstances have affected performance. If the mark is below 40 (fail) Exam Board may offer a sit at next opportunity. If the mark is over 40 (pass) but appears to be out of line with other marks in the array, Exam Board may offer students the chance to take the assessment as a sit at the next opportunity.
