Publications List

What are the icons in the table header for?

It is possible for you to add and update your publication information on your web profile by using the Publication List.

When you enter your publication information using the Publication List facility you will be asked to complete specific fields for the publication you are entering (e.g publication year, abstracts etc). Entering information in the Publication List facility will let you decide whether you would like your publications ordered by publication year or publication type, when displayed on your web profile. This can be set from your Sussex Direct preferences (in the Help menu). The information here can also be accessed by your department, where necessary, when compiling the Research Excellence Framework submission.

If you want your publications to appear sorted by date order on your web profile choose 'Sort Publications List' by YEAR in your preferences; otherwise choose TYPE to have the publications ordered by publication type.

NB: You can no longer edit the text in the Publication (free form text) section. The University is now moving to a new Institutional Repository which requires that you use the structured Publications List to enter details of your publications. If you would like the publications on your web profile to be taken from the information in the Publication List section, just set your preferences to 'Use new Publications List in web profile' in the Preferences section (Help > Preferences), otherwise the information will come from the Publication (free form text) section.
