Ref 2014 What are the icons in the table header for? It is possible for you to add and update your REF 2014 publication information using the REF 2014 Publication List, or the Publication List on the Web Profile page. The REF 2014 Publication List will only display publications with a publication year of 2008 onwards. If you enter a publication with a pre-2008 year it will only display on the Publication List on the Web Profile page. When you enter your publication information using the REF 2014 Publication List facility you will be asked to complete specific fields for the publication you are entering (e.g publication year, abstracts etc). To include a publication in your REF 2014 shortlist you should use the Edit icon, tick the REF 2014 Shortlist? box and click Save. You can also delete a publication using the Edit icon. To edit any details of the publication, including whether it should be included in your Web Profile, click on the title of the publication. Remember to Save after amending any details. You can also edit/add/delete co-authors by clicking on the title of the publication. NB: You can no longer edit the text in the Publication (free form text) section. The University is now moving to a new Institutional Repository which requires that you use the structured Publications List to enter details of your publications. If you would like the publications on your web profile to be taken from the information in the Publication List section, just set your preferences to 'Use new Publications List in web profile' in the Preferences section (Help > Preferences), otherwise the information will come from the Publication (free form text) section.
