The options available on this first table view are:-

Search to look for specific items.

Add new item to advertise Offered Items or Wanted Items.

Edit an advert - the edit options vary (limited or full editing) depending on whether the advert is in draft or submitted status and whether it has started/expired.

Following placement of an advert the Transaction column will display various icon messages in My items.

Adjust to deduct items taken or received.

reUSed, which advises that ALL the items have been allocated on campus.

Dispose, an option to inform EFM that you require unallocated goods to be collected once passed the expiry date.  When selected it will change to Disposed.

More detailed information is available below or visit the Sussex Direct Support Guide section.

 Add new item

  • You should complete as much detail as possible (all columns are mandatory).  In the description coloum it would be useful to include the colour or dimensions of the goods, or where the item is located (this field is searchable by users).
  • You can set a start and expiry date (minimum of one day). The advert will not be displayed to users until the start date and can be deleted in draft status.
  • The advert can be held as a draft prior to submission.  The advert will not be displayed to users until the start date and can still be deleted in draft status.
  • The contact column is editable and additional contact information can be added e.g. your tel ext.

 Edit

  • Prior to the start date, or if in draft status, your advert is fully editable and can be deleted.  Only minimal editing is allowed following submission and after the start date.

 Adjust

  • The Adjust button takes you to the transactions record where you deduct goods taken or received, adding any useful information regarding collection details.  Items remaining are displayed to users.   When all items have been allocated, you can still view the transactions. The display on My items changes to reused. When all the goods have been allocated, the button will automatically change to reused.
  • Prior to an expiry date, There is also an Adjust option within the transaction table

Dispose

  • This button is displayed when you have passed the expiry date.  When selected to mark goods for disposal, you receive a warning.  You can opt to Edit and extend the expiry date.  However, if you continue, the entry is marked as Disposed. This is captured in a report for EFM who will make arrangements  for the goods to be collected.

Reused

  • When reused is displayed on My items, you can select the button and view the transactions history.  If the advert has not reached the expiry date, you can delete any incorrect transactions by selecting adjust then delete.
