Ssu Student Directory

What are the icons in the table header for?

The SSU Student Directory allows you to search for students known to the SSU and whose details have been entered into the SSU database. It provides you with their details and with access to the facitlity to upload documents.

The directory is not case sensitive. You may enter information into one or more of the fields. You may enter the first character(s) or all of a search term, for example you may enter s, smi or smith into the 'Surname' field.

In the Current column, Current refers to all current students, whether they are known to the SSU or not. All refers to all students past and present.

In the Sent? column, None refers to students for whom you have uploaded nothing as yet. Held refers to students for whom you have uploaded at least one document that has not been sent. Sent refers to students for whom you have uploaded and sent at least one document. Sending a document means that anyone who is authorised to see it can do so.

Click on Search in the table header to view the results table.

The results table lists all students known to the SSU. Some are clickable, some are not. If a student is clickable, you can view their information and upload documents for them. A student is clickable if they

  • have given their permission for their School to know about their support needs
  • are registered with your team. For example, if you work on the Physical Disability team, you will not have access to students who are registered with Learning and/or Mental Health support needs

The School - DS, School - LS, and School - MS columns display a 'Y' if the student has given permission for their School to be told about their support needs. If no 'Y' is displayed for a student, their name will not be clickable, and so no documents can be uploaded for them.
