Student Support List

What are the icons in the table header for?

If any information is incorrect, please contact the Student Support Unit at studentsupport@sussex.ac.uk.

This table displays all the students in the selected term and year for whom you are the course tutor, assessment convenor, or academic advisor, who have support needs and who have given their permission for their School to see this information.

Some departments are participating in a pilot scheme in which academic staff are not required to read support documents for students with only dyslexia/dyspraxia. Instead these departments are providing the standard reasonable adjustments for these students. For full details, click the 'Standard Provisions flagging for Learning Support Students' external link at the top of the page. Students with dyslexia/dyspraxia, falling within this pilot scheme, are displayed with a 'minus' sign and a green background. If a student has support needs for both dyslexia/dyspraxia and other support needs (sensory or physical impairments, and/or mental health problems), then you will still be required to read documents relating to the latter. The student in this case will be displayed with a 'plus' sign and a saffron background.

As Student Support information is confidential, you will have had to confirm your password to enter this page. You will periodically need to so again.

Beware that you might be marking work which was set in the previous term. To avoid missing support information, you can select 'All' from the 'Term' drop-down list.

If 'New' is displayed in the 'Docs' column, this means that there are unread documents for that student that you are required to read. In the case of students with dyslexia/dyspraxia who fall within the pilot scheme, the number of uploaded documents appears in the 'Doc' column instead of 'New'. Students with 'New' documents appear at the top of the list.

The 'Year' column displays the year that the student is currently in and does not change if you select a different year from the 'Year' drop-down list.

If the student has agreed, a 'Notes' column will be displayed showing that exam arrangements have been made.
