Timetable

What are the icons in the table header for?

If any teaching information is incorrect, please contact your departmental co-ordinator. Please note: your timetable is compiled from data entered by your departmental office. Please consult them if you have any queries.

If any Committee information is incorrect, please contact Alice Robertson.

Your timetable shows your teaching sessions, and assessment and assignment deadlines for the week. It differentiates between contributory coursework (assessments) and non-contributory coursework (assignments). Contributory coursework is displayed with an alert icon.

Use the arrows in the table header to scroll through the weeks or use the drop-down lists to select the correct term and week.

If you have cancelled a teaching session via Sussex Direct, this will be indicated here, and shown greyed out.

Your timetable provides links to attendance sheets and marks sheets, links to tables for inputting attendances and marks, and to student lists as follows:

* Click on the course name of a session to get an attendance sheet (BEFORE the session) or to record attendance (AFTER the session)
* Click on the course name of an assessment or assignment to get a marks sheet (BEFORE the deadline) or to record marks (AFTER the deadline)
* Click on the type of a session, or assessment/assignment for a list of students

To print out the current week's attendance sheets, click on the current week's attendence sheets icon in the table header. Use the browser print button to print out the sheets on separate pages.

If you are a convenor, you will also see any assessments which you have not delegated (delegated assessments are marked by the course tutors and non-delegated are marked by the convenor). You will currently need to use 'Sussex Direct: formal coursework' to enter the marks. Clicking on the link will bring up the option to print the submissions sheet.

Committee meetings

Your timetable also displays meetings of Committees of which you are a member. Committees are listed in the University Organisation Chart. Clicking on the link within the timetable takes you to a list of forthcoming meetings.

Export your timetable

You can export your timetable information for the week you are viewing, up until the end of the term, into a calendar programme such as iCal.

To export your timetable into MS Outlook 2007, click on 'iCal' in the table header. Save timetable.ics to your desktop. Open Outlook 2007. Double-click the file.

To export your timetable into iCal for Macs, click on 'iCal' in the table header. This runs the iCal program.
