User Preferences What are the icons in the table header for? This table allows you to change your user preferences. The old-style menu bar refers to the system of menu tabs and sub-menu tabs which has existed since the beginning of Sussex Direct. The new-style menu bar retains the tabs, but not the sub-menu tabs. Instead, resting your mouse pointer on one of the menu tabs produces a clickable drop-down list. If one of the items in the list is followed by '>>', you can rest your mouse pointer on it to view a further clickable list. Tutors and convenors are now able to select how many students they wish to see displayed at a time in their student lists. NB: If you select 'All' and have large groups, you will need to enter all information for marks and attendances before the system will allow you to save. This could mean losing a lot of work if the system times out or crashes before you have completed your data entry.
